FAQ

Carry methods & equipment questions

What's the best holster for concealed carry?

There's no single best holster; it depends on your build, wardrobe, and carry position. We walk through inside-the-waistband, outside-the-waistband, and appendix options so you can choose retention and comfort that actually works for your daily routine.

Are all carry positions legal in California?

Carrying under a valid CCW permit is generally legal statewide, but certain locations are restricted under California's SB 2 sensitive-places rules regardless of carry position. We cover where you can and can't carry as part of this module.

Do you help me pick a holster during class?

Yes. Instructors provide hands-on guidance on holster type, retention level, and concealment method based on your body type and typical clothing.

Is this module included in the initial and renewal courses?

Yes. Carry Methods & Equipment is Module 03 and is included in both the initial and renewal CCW courses, and is also available as a private session.
