The city of Ventura gives its name to the county and hosts the sheriff's operation that will review your application — a smaller, lower-volume licensing unit where individual files genuinely get read. That cuts both ways: prepared applicants stand out positively, and shortcuts stand out too. Training from a provider that teaches all sixteen hours, on the record, is worth more here than almost anywhere.
